Back when I was still studying, over 30 years ago, I was faced with the question of which specific career I wanted to choose.
There were many possibilities, but none emerged.
One day, in the last third of my studies, I realized that I wanted to become a coach, consultant, and business broker for company acquisitions and sales.
At that time, the term “M&A” did not yet exist in Germany. This only gradually became established from the 2000s onwards. Today, it is a common term in the financial world.
There was virtually no Internet at that time and there were only two privately run M&A companies in Germany at all specialized in business brokerage for SMEs. Everything else has been big banks and the Big Five.
While I was still studying, I managed to get one of these two M&A boutiques to take me on as an intern. At the end of my studies, I wrote my thesis at this company in the business valuation segment.
Back then, the M&A times were generally not rosy; there were hardly any succession projects as many entrepreneurs were not yet of “retirement age”.
So, it was ultimately clear that I had to start my own M&A company. It was my passion for the M&A business that has motivated me again and again to this day to continually improve myself and my M&A company. I often took new paths, both in good and bad times.
A profound understanding of the business broker tasks and requirements on both sides, buyer and seller, has been essential. But it also requires the passion to recognize, evaluate and integrate even the smallest details in the M&A process to complete a deal.
The intense feeling for trust, people, and opportunities round off my profile.
Today I am looking at a professional M&A advisory and business brokerage company with interesting offers as well as national and international customers and business partners.
For me, this is both an incentive and a mission to continue to drive my business broker company forward with passion, trust, and innovation.
Let's tackle it. ... I’m excited to hear from you.
