Surviving in dignity is an art in itself for nursing cases, particularly in case of children. The "KIWI Zuhause" home nursing service team makes this life worth living. Within the scope of our social welfare activities we have been supporting the small nursing service unit for intensive home care of children of the Würzburg KIWI organization free of charge since the end of 2009.

We are all the more pleased that KIWI Zuhause achieved the outstanding score of 1.7 in the MDK Audit 2010, a quality test for nursing services. KIWI owes this great achievement not only to its manager but also to its entire team which performs its nursing duties in accordance with the highest ethical standards - duties which are, above all, mentally challenging and for which most of us would not have the strength to persevere, ending – as most of these nursing assignments do – at the crossroads which we all have to face in life but hopefully as late as possible.

KIWI Zuhause ensures the nursing care of children who are mostly extreme nursing cases with a small team of registered nurses with intensive care experience and relevant further training. The nursing and care services are provided and implemented in accordance with doctor’s instructions.

As several nursing cases have now come to an end – accompanied by the heartfelt sympathy and dedication of the KIWI team –, KIWI Zuhause and its friendly and committed team have free capacities.
